So I’ve finished the new song “officially” I’ll have a look around at getting it recorded. I actually think it is better than “I’m In Love”, and I thought that song was killer so this one is super killer if you get my drift.
For some funny reason, I’ve been writing a lot of songs lately, and a couple of them are getting some interest so we’ll see how that goes. We’ve identified how we want the album to sound, and I’ve been sent on a mission to study how the Beatles crafted their songs lyrically and structurally. As such, my personal trainer (a self-confessed Beatles fanatic) has volunteered to compile the early happy pop works of the Beatles for me to reference in my writing. Chris Stark you are the man!
So in case you are wondering what this image is, I put it there to possibly highlight that inspiration came from the most unlikeliest of places. Now in this photo, Jessie and I found a “portable electrocuter” aka “massager” and we had a ball of a time taking turns electrocuting each other. Was this the reason for my songwriting craziness? Could be!
Finally as an update, vocals for the newest song was finished last night and the song is currently being mixed. I’ll shoot up a copy online for you guys to have a listen to in a few days time when it comes back. Plans are also underway to release a four-track EP but the priority remains to complete this album.
On another note, one of my tracks “I’m In Love” was added to a compilation album released digitally called Dead Famous Volume 4 — The POP Explosion. Now ain’t that nice!
Oh! Finally, I’ve been thinking a lot in terms of what title the album should be, and I’m thinking given the new direction it has taken, maybe something along the lines of “Bringing Back Happiness”! Now all I need to do is consider the artwork for the album.

So after catching up with one of my maties Zoe Dauth (Hi Zoe!) and hearing all her adventures of Chile and looking at her photos, one of them caught my eye, and I felt inspired to write a song about it. Here’s the photo.

Somewhere in Chile is a girl called Zoe!
This photo is seriously calling for a song about better days, sunshine and happy stuff like that. So I wrote one!I told my friends about it and named it “Kym Rocks”. It goes something like this (lyrics by Marcus Carter — a visionary philosopher):
KYM ROCKS
ALL OUR SOCKS
*babum*
MY SOCKS
ARE FILLED WITH ROCKS
*babum*
THAT HAVE ON EACH OF THEM
KYM REALLY ROCKS
Jennifer from the States thinks “Ego (a word which isn’t publishable)” is a better suited title however.
OK to be honest, the song doesn’t really go like that. I’ll see how I can get it recorded eh?

So hey, I’ve been writing lots lately and these songs just keep popping out of nowhere… like daisies! I’ve had a new song called “I’m In Love” placed the official site’s jukebox so come on over and have a listen if you are feeling keen.
We’re going down happy-happy now, because I recently discovered that I’m a happy-happy person, which means I shouldn’t do sad songs unless they’re bomb-bomb sad songs that will make me happy with the subsequent interest that it generates if you get my drift.
Since getting back from the States meeting and greeting and seeing the world Harvard alumni style, I’ve been back in the studio recording new material! We’ve got some killer new stuff in the works, and I can’t WAIT to show you guys EVERYTHING. For now, here’s a photo of my piano where I write songs.

Oh and before we go on, here’s a photo of my bemused expression.

You know, usually I hate blogging because I feel obligated to keep it updated, but this site’s journal really, really, rocks. I love it.So until next time, be cool, and be good to your mother.

The jukebox has been created woo! And it now has a brand spanking new song called “I’m In Love”. You know, when you sing songs, you have to really believe in what you’re singing so the song can be believed by the listener. So because I’ve never really been in love before, I was imagining singing this to my dog.
Hi guys! The website has been updated. Just fixing up little things here and there and stuff. I’ve got some new material which I’ll have uploaded to the site for you guys and we’ll get cracking!
So! If you’re wondering what’s new, I’ve finally put the actual “Mailing List Subscription” where it is suppose to be, and I’ve updated the songs on the site. Lyrics are also redone, and I’ve just updated a few pages here and there. Much love.
Don’t forget to subscribe to the mailing list. We love your love.
