I’m currently writing and performing music for series 2 of UK-based series “Night Is Day” a science fiction series which follows Jason Mackenzie, Glasgow’s first superhero, as he deals with learning to use his powers, crime on the city streets, the evil crimelord Mr. Philips, and his growing feelings for Amy, a young writer who helps heal his wounds after he saves her from being attacked. Series 1 can be watched online by visiting the official Night is Day website. Both series will be both available online and in DVD format.
So what do you do when all your hopes and dreams look like they’re going to become a reality? You jump into whatever transport you have necesary, take a deep breath and drive away so you can gain a little perspective on things and watch everything unfold from a distance.
Then you close your eyes, try to breathe and then try to remember what this all feels like. It’s overwhelming, it feels like you’re going to explode and it feels like you can’t wait to get started. But you don’t want to get too ahead of yourself. Not yet.
Over the past few days, my latest songs have come back and now it looks like exciting things are going to happen. I’ve got a few new things coming up which I’ll announce including writing the theme music for a television series in the UK and a few new performances.
Lots of things… lots of things… I’ll knock them off one at a time.
