Kym shares some great design tips, WordPress 2.5 has lots of features (but we still want more) and our first few emails in this week’s show!
Topics and links from this week’s show:
Season 1 of the series “Night Is Day” is now available for purchase at the official website for £10 and includes all 6 episodes of the first season and the video clip to my song “Tomorrow”.
A big congraulations to the entire team at “Night Is Day” for their recent success. Flming for season 2 is scheduled begin this May and there has been incredible interest in the show with over 100 actors and actresses auditioning for parts in season 2. “Night Is Day” is currently in negotiations for syndication over network television so a big hearty congraulations to the entire team at “Night Is Day”.
“Night Is Day” is a series which follows Jason Mackenzie, Glasgow’s first superhero, as he deals with learning to use his powers, crime on the city streets, the evil crimelord Mr. Philips, and his growing feelings for Amy, a young writer who helps heal his wounds after he saves her from being attacked. I am currently writing music for season 2.
I’ve been with my personal trainer, Haydn, now for over three months and I can see my body composition changing; things are getting bigger, some parts are getting wider, some more defined… you get the picture. It’s quite incredible what having someone who will monitor your diet, your training and how you sleep can do for you. I’ve been going to the gym for a few years now but I’ve gained more in the past three months than in the previous years… incredible. Then again, Haydn is nearly killing me every time I have a training session with him; the first time I trained with Haydn I ended up on my back because the entire room was spinning. He’s even offered to bring out the vomit bucket on a number of occasions just in case I got sick. (Can everyone out there give me a chorus of, “Say what?”) The strange thing is that I enjoy pushing hard. I think I may be one small step away from sadomasochism.
There’s some personal satisfaction there in knowing that I’m taking care of myself, but more so because image and how you present yourself to others is also very important … especially in entertainment and if you’re going to be in the public eye. I must admit I’ve been pretty lax in the self presentation but I’m working on it.
I’ve started going to yoga as well to supplement my training sessions and let me tell you… going to an advanced yoga class and being told to do all these weird and wonderful positions is… fun! Not to mention how relaxing and centered it makes you feel. Here’s a tip for all you guys interested in yoga out there, skip the beginner and intermediate classes. They’re not as much fun as advanced. The beginner and intermediate classes are technical and focus on teaching you the positions. The advanced classes really focus on you and how you’re feeling; try it and see! (Although if they ask you to put your legs behind your head or do head stands, don’t come running after me with a pitchfork.)

What do you do when someone asks you to sing on a feature length movie soundtrack? You say, “Heck Yes!” and go into the recording studio over the next few days to record the music for the movie. Coming soon to a theatre near you … Kym makes eyebrows raise when they hear his strange interpretation of Bjork.
Hi everyone! I’m currently updating from my new iPod Touch! Who knew that this little thing could connect wirelessly to the Internet and could do so many nifty things like checking email.

After giving Suzannah some backing vocals for her cover of Phil Collins’ “Groovy Kind Of Love”, I was asked to turn the song into a duet for Suzannah’s album. Sure why not? I marched back into the recording studio the next day and recorded down a verse and a couple of choruses for the song.
I dropped by the recording studio a few days ago to check on how Suzannah was going with her vocal recordings and to offer some vocal tips and ended up quickly recording backing vocals for her cover of Phil Collin’s “Goovy Kind Of Love. Suzzanah is currently recording her “first” album which are mostly covers.
