Back from Holidays

scratching my head Back from Holidays

So I’m now back from hol­i­days (I was on an island for about 10 days) and not hav­ing access to Face­book, Gmail or any­thing else made me real­ize just how much we all rely on tech­nol­ogy! Holy moly… it’s quite scary actu­ally. First thing I did when I got back was jump on the com­puter and check my emails… eck… big mistake!!

So now I’m here scratch­ing my head and won­der­ing what I should do. At least I got a good tan wooho!

song competition 2008 Finalist (1st Heat) in the Festival4Stars 2008 International Song Writing CompetitionThe Festival4Stars 2008 is an inter­na­tional song­writ­ing com­pe­ti­tion in the cat­e­gories of Singer/Songwriter, Coun­try, Pop/Rock, and R&B.

The cur­rent Judg­ing Panel at the ini­tial stages have lis­tened to all the songs in the first heat and have have cho­sen 3 songs in each genre to enter into the finals. You can hear all the final­ist songs online.

This com­pe­ti­tion is inter­na­tional for the first time in 2008 and my song “Nails” was selected as a final­ist in the Pop/Rock category.

To vote for my song “Nails” text: Fest4 3 to 83010.

The deci­sion for National Finals will be announced on Novem­ber 1.

Pick­ing up my Law School mate­ri­als today for this year, I couldn’t help but won­der at the amount of mate­r­ial that there was to read; holy Jebes I think half an acre of for­est was felled to print this out for me… and that’s not count­ing the hor­ri­ble dis­place­ment of mar­su­pial mouses and every­thing else cute that love to frolic and live in the for­est grass.

With­out enough mate­r­ial in my arms to last one semes­ter (six months) at Law School, I’m still wait­ing for my heart attack to occur when I find out the prices for the text books; as I have every year. At least I get a free Law Stu­dents Soci­ety key ring; any­thing for that key ring!

back at uni Always an Exciting Start to the Semester

A new seme­ter has offi­cially started and I’m offi­cially excited! There’s noth­ing like a new semes­ter to bring you back into line and make you feel moti­vated again. I feel so moti­vated that I am think­ing of tak­ing a stroll down to the Aus­tralian reg­is­trar and hav­ing them change my mid­dle name to Kym “Moti­va­tion” Huynh.

The most excit­ing thing is that I now have my very own locker! That’s right peo­ple; for the first time in my uni­ver­sity career, I now offi­cially have a locker; one that I can call my very own! OK… so it may be in the sports cen­tre, but it is red… and it is FIERCE!! (I will also admit that I have been watch­ing way too many episodes of Tyra Banks’ “America’s Next Top Model”.)

The project I was talk­ing about yes­ter­day is still secret… but I’m going to hit high gear with it very soon. Uh huh I will, I will, I will.
