Hi. I’m Kym and I like studios. I also like studoey things and want to have my own big studio. Just like this. Totally.
A few weeks ago I was in the studio recording vocals for an EP project that I’m currently involved in — that was when the cold hit of course. The mixing is coming along — swimmingly — and will be mixed and mastered in the lovely studio you see below.
It’s so… beautiful. Being inside it was like walking into McDonalds, asking for a 30 cent cone, and being given a double chocolate sundae with two chocolate flakes in it by accident. Then, being the honest person you are, you decide to inform them of this mistake. Being impressed by your virtue and honesty, McDonalds decides to give you the sundae anyway. This studio feels like that.
So a few weeks ago I was asked by the super funky editors over at Farrago to shoot a cover for Farrago’s next edition — the magazine/newspaper that I write a column for. My task? To be a super, secret agent with a hidden agenda; remove all the arts teachers from the University of Melbourne like it was nobody’s business.
And at long last, my dream of being on a magazine/newspaper cover has been accomplished. (Even if it means it was a profile shot and slightly blurred grrrrr.)
Ah well, can’t have everything I suppose. At least I got to drag out a pseudo arts lecturer, escort style, in one of the university’s lecture threatures located in their most iconic building — Old Arts.

Gosh… who would have thought that I’d be involved in so many podcasts eh? It started with only one… and somehow it built up from there… accidently might I add. I didn’t mean to go out there and start so many… but it just kind of happened. You know?
Now we’re moving into online streaming, and then video podcasts, and then online television. Kind of funny how things like these develop. But hey, if people want to listen to my dulcet tones and be victim to the insane ramblings of a madman, more power to the masses.
Coming soon to the podcast family is Diablo Out Loud, a podcast about — as the name suggests — Diablo. I’ve been a big fan of the game since its first release so I suppose you could say I’m a bit of a fan mmm. Ahhh then I hear that there is a video podcast coming soon; tech related from what I hear. Ahhh the rumor mill keeps spinning and spinning and spinning and it is rather late here and I am feeling incredibly lazy so my thoughts may not be as coherent as I want them to be so I have decided to stop typing now.
Here… here’s a photo. A photo is worth a thousand words after all.

Me: I’m going to make all my money floating in a pool sipping apple mijitos.
Dave: If you can make money doing that I want in.
Me: I haven’t quite worked out the details yet. It’s a work in progress. And you?
Dave: I’m still on the college front right now but I know I want to work in media.
Me: If you go into radio I will fly over and ambush your show for fun. Same goes for TV and anything else you do. I will become a little terror. You’ll be giving the weather report then I’ll run naked across the screen.
Dave: AHAHA! We have a 50% chance of — KYM?!?!?!?!
Dave Moyer — Terror of the Interwebs.
