Friend: I bought 19 new fish.
Me: That’s amazing.
Friend: One of the species eats poo. I’ll never have to buy them food again
Me: That’s incredible.
Friend: Well it does eat poo and algae but you still need to feed it.
Me: If i was a fish I’d want you to be my owner.
Friend: I want to breed them and then I can give you one. Would you like one?
Me: Sure. I’d call it Bort if it was a boy.
Friend: I’ll surprise you one of these days.
Me: One condition. It must be a hot fish.
Friend: It will be ridiculously good looking.
Me: I won’t discriminate against it just because it has rockin’ fins and a mouth to die for.
Friend: And great suction.
Me: That goes without sayinng.
Clothes strewn around everywhere, samples off the rack, pictures and print outs littering the sheets, coat hangers making a mess, and throw rugs for good measure… there’s some artistry in there. (I think so anyway.)

It’s a week of discovery on WordCast this week: (1) We learn about a “secret” change in 2.8 that’s making some of the net mad; (2) Fascinating statistics about WordPress themes; and (3) We even learn what a WordPress alert bar sounds like. All that and more in episode 62. We can’t believe we’ve made it this far… still.

This week’s episode is oh-so-scandalous. First, we talk about the WPDesigner scandal from last year then we talk about the Perez Hilton scandal of 2009, and then make up a NEW scandal about that one; so be prepared. Plus: What the heck’s a post slug, and why Alisyn Camerota can’t blog… too… good.

A music video for The Aston Shuffle based around the theme of a Japanese eating contest? Why not! Yes I do get eaten in the end by a really hungry Japanese girl and yes, those foods do look a little bit strange on screen but I assure they they were more tasty than they looked.

For some reason Dave can’t talk. However, he can type well enough to write this, and also the show notes from this lovely episode in which we talk about WordPress 2.8.1, backward ideas, surveys that are already closed, and delicious plugins. Yum!
