This song is about freedom and trying to find one’s feet in a world where he is overprotected. Sure, being protected by one’s parents is a great thing, but at times one begins to wonder whether the mother or father will ever see their child as anything else than a child in need of protection? In truth, sometimes it can be a bit stifling, so this song is a portrayal of two conflicting emotions; gratitude and also frustration but not wanting to point fingers. Gosh I can’t believe a human can feel so many things at the same time … I’m surprised the subject hasn’t exploded yet.

Oooh…Cool song. Very “funkadelic” as you seem to like to say about many things, lol. Its true…humans can feel a LOT of emotions about one thing..very confusing…Luff the song

Hmm true if you have a really low point, it serves as a comparison for a really high point… but what if you were really high ALL the time?
well…I don’t know about you, but if /I/ were high all the time, I’d be pretty miserable(in both senses of the word…)
If you were high as in happy all the time… I’d haphazard a guess to suggest that you’d be eternally happy.
Well I’d guess that I, or anyone, for that matter, would be pretty much dead, in a sense. But maybe that’s just me and my deranged way of thinking…?
