dsc_6951 MOVSA Gala 2007 Photos

The MOVSA Gala 2007 performance went off great. Amongst last minute show and spacing changes, the X-Cape/High Voltage/Street Funk dancers and myself rocked out the house using the power of music and dance. A big thanks to everyone for showing their support, huge thanks to those who screamed their lungs out, to the organizers of the event, to my friends who made sure the night went off without a hitch, and to my dancers who gave so much of themselves in the performance.

Thanks for the comments Cool Breeze. Let’s hope that scream was one of amazement rather than one of horror haha. I scared a few people that night but it was a great night.

  5. Cool Breeze | Oct 9, 2007 | Reply

It was for amazement! There was a tiny one for horror just for the fun of it! XD

Hi silverdragon124. Thanks for the comments. I don’t think they look that bad either. I can’t wait for the actual photos and performance video to come in so I can see how it all went.

  11. Kym Huynh | Oct 10, 2007 | Reply

Thanks Laura. I lost the hat unfortunately. I fell off halfway through the performance and I left it on stage. Ah well. I’m sure there’s plenty more hats out there somewhere.

  12. Kym Huynh | Oct 10, 2007 | Reply

You could try to steal it but I lost it halfway through the performance and it is still sitting somewhere up there on the stage.

  13. Nancy | Oct 10, 2007 | Reply

ha ha, maybe I can open an auction for ur hat :)

  14. Kym Huynh | Oct 10, 2007 | Reply

You might be able to get 20 cents for it on eBay haha.

  15. Cool Breeze | Oct 10, 2007 | Reply

Oh… No I have no hat. And I don’t want to spend 20 cents or shiping. -_-

  16. Laura | Oct 10, 2007 | Reply

haha, authentic plastic(?) hat worn by Kym…there’s a collectors item, right there!

  17. Cool Breeze | Oct 10, 2007 | Reply

I like the black hats better.

  18. Kym Huynh | Oct 11, 2007 | Reply

A hat is a hat of course of course unless you can talk to a hat of course unless that hat has a name and it’s called Mr. Ed!

  19. Kym Huynh | Oct 11, 2007 | Reply

Darn it I should’ve kept it.

  20. Kym Huynh | Oct 11, 2007 | Reply

The black hats a cool too. I had to have one that made me stand out though so the only other alternative was white. Any other colour and it would have looked a bit funkadelic.

  21. Nancy | Oct 11, 2007 | Reply

nope..not the normal hat. The one u wore in ur performance is different

  22. Kym Huynh | Oct 11, 2007 | Reply

The white one with the small black band.

  23. Cool Breeze | Oct 11, 2007 | Reply

I have a qeustion and I know this may sound stupid but what was this about?

  24. Kym Huynh | Oct 11, 2007 | Reply

Are you referring to the conversation in this post or the performance?

The conversation is about a hat that I wore at the performance. I subsequently lost it because it fell off halfway through the performance and I didn’t pick it up at the end.

The performance was an opening for the MVOSA Gala 2007. We did a whole urban/hiphop/rnb feel because that’s what they asked for.

  25. Laura | Oct 11, 2007 | Reply

awh…poor hat =[ maybe that little four year old picked up! and then sat on it during the car-ride home, lol!

  26. Cool Breeze | Oct 12, 2007 | Reply

    Oh… Awesome.

    Lol very funny “Laura”.

  27. Laura | Oct 12, 2007 | Reply

“Laura”…? Last time I checked, it was not necessary to put quotes around someone’s name…

  28. Cool Breeze | Oct 12, 2007 | Reply

When it’s me I… Just do it b… Well you don’t need to know.

  29. Kym Huynh | Oct 14, 2007 | Reply

LOL well you never know it could have happened. I personally wouldn’t be surprised if it did. Else, the hat is just sitting there now in a corner.

  30. Kym Huynh | Oct 14, 2007 | Reply

Reference back to some The PPT Show episode discussions by Laura. Very nice lol.

  31. Kym Huynh | Oct 14, 2007 | Reply

Actually I was looking at that thinking to myself the same thing. Maybe it means you’re not really Laura and that you are really someone else pretending to be Laura.

I did see some hats JUST LIKE IT today, but they were all colourful (now i’m English, pip pip! lol…or maybe i just can’t spell.) so i didn’t get one, and my dad didn’t seem to understand why i wanted a black-and-white one…oh well. i guess i just wasn’t meant to have a hat as cool as Kym’s…

Visionary Philosopher- you’re very intelligent and have a mix of skills and insight that could be applied to different things.

Aristotle-Philosopher in Ancient Greece, he was once a student of Plato(another philosopher) and if I remember correctly, he taught Alexander the Great…

  58. Kym Huynh | Oct 19, 2007 | Reply

To be honest, when I speak in another language, I just pull whatever foreign word that comes to mind and put it out there regardless of how irrelevant it is.

You could try to translate, but you would most likely end up with something like: Hi! How are you? I am naked and I am not a lesbian.

  59. Kym Huynh | Oct 19, 2007 | Reply

A visionary philosopher is a philosopher with reality-changing ideas that will influence and shape the world in profound ways.

Aristotle was a student of Plato, Greek philosopher and teacher of Alexander the Great.
