Podcasting Studio Secrets Revealed
By Kym Huynh on Apr 17, 2008 in Asides, Journal
Good evening Internet! Thought I’d take a little time off today to show you what my podcasting studio looks like as I just rearranged everything on my desk (sorta) so it doesn’t look like I’m a messy person (which I assure you I’m not. Honest!). The mixer is behind the desk on the floor so you can’t actually see it; although I think it looks kind of ugly; maybe I can decorate the mixer with stickers or something equally delightful.
I only just figured out today that I could make my microphone stand taller (despite having the microphone stand for many years…) and that I could attach the pop filter (the black circle looking thing in front of the microphone) directly from the microphone stand without the need to use tissues to fatten up the microphone stand arm. (Still with me? Don’t worry if you’re not… I think I just lost track myself.) Discovering something like this is like discovering an extra pocket in your jumper or jacket; pleasantly surprised; slightly amused; and deliriously happy.
You will also see the iMac; only one of God’s most beautiful creations. It’s so niiiiiiceeeeee; I just installed an alarm clock on it last night so now I wake up at 6 AM every morning to the funky sounds of rock and roll and raggaeton. (I recommend “DJ Mendez - Ven a la Fiesta”; my current favorite song I like to wake up to.)
Behind the iMac are three pot plants, which are flourishing with vigor. They are named Menta, Pancho and the third one is as yet unnamed. I feed most of them water but I feed Pancho beer. He is doing very well, is well socialized and likes to spend his days basking in the sunlight and listening to the randomized songs on iMac’s iTunes playlist. If you touch his leaves, he grows bigger.
Annyyways I really should get some sleep. If I’m going to wake up to the sweet sounds of DJ Mendez at 6 AM, I really need to sleep before 1 AM. Ciao everyone! Que suenes con los angelitos! Besssitos!
You. Are. Fierce!

On this day..

Ahh! *spaz* Mac! *makes weird breathing noise I tend to make when I see those*
Pancho sounds like an amazing plant. I’m jealous. Just kidding…but seriously.

Yep he’s a pretty amazing plant. He thrives on beer.
